Welch Village on 2/13/2010

Day two on the bad foot in a row at Welch and day two of bluebird skies. YES! I rode with CJ today and we had a blast, but both of us were having foot issues today. We met up with Greg after and he was hanging with his buds Brian and Karen. We hatched a plan for the way to Targhee that is going to be sweet. Here's some shots from the day. Welch Village on 2/12/2010

I had the opportunity to hit Welch today and was super excited to snowboard for the first time in 2 weeks. Thanks DBD for planting the seed to ride today! I was hoping my foot would be OK Matt and I tested out the stabilization feature on the new camera and it seemed to do OK. Matt's commentary is priceless. I actually rode OK today but the toe side turns hurt like fucking mad. What kept me going was the new fresh snow and blue bird skies. I also got to give Gam Gam his first good dose of what happens when you stop in the middle of run, sorry GBD, but you earned it.

BFGSCers hittin' Welch

I think it was the earliest I have been to Welch in years. We arrived just after lift open around 9:15. CJ, Roley and I did not hit the hill until 10 and only rode for an hour before we needed to unfreeze the feet. It was good timing for the break, because Josh, Ernesto, and Vicki showed up. Roley tried out the stabilization on my camera by following me down Dan's Dive, but unfortunately he must not have hit record. Roley did say he could see that it was working great as I was not bouncing in the frame. We'll try this again before we hit Targhee. Here's a couple action shots for ya and I'll see everyone at the Stuper Bowl extravaganza.

Stupid Vikings!

Well, it was a good game, but damn painful. I mean I know that "kick" is coming ever year and the same damn thing happens, it sneaks up on me and hits me square in the nuts. I think the Vikings are destined to forever be a second tier team, I hope I'm dead fucking wrong. We'll see what happens next year, especially if T-Jack is handed the reigns. Crazy Saturday Night

What a crazy night. Carolyn, CJ and myself headed down to Grumps for a few beers and I had to buy CJ his pitcher that he won for the December Streak for the Cash.

CJ and I then took off and headed to Saint Paul to watch the Wild beat down Columbus. We took off with 5 minutes to go and missed 3 goals, but the Wild hung on and won 4 to 2.

Next stop on the tour was the Triplerock for some metal and we missed Duff's band, but I did get us a photo.

After the Triplerock it was off to the Hacienda for some tacos, thanks 24/7 Car service for waiting at the Hacienda and putting up with my drunk ass.

Stupid Wild!

Why the fuck do they always get behind by 2 or more goals and then scramble to tie it up? I like Matt's suggestion to hypnotize the players and tell them it's the third period and they are down by 3 goals. Well, we'll see what happens at the game tomorrow night. If we can't beat lowly Columbus, I think Rhett will start wearing a bag over his head at the games. Go WILD!!

Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers (11-9-2008)

GO Vikes!!
What a great day! I woke up hungover from the BFGSC party the night before and barely caught the bus to make it down to Grumps. MM, screwdrivers! I was meeting Matt, Dave, Tracey, Kelly, and Jeff. The last three are cheeseheads, but I let it slide because they crack me up.
I survived the game without having a heart attack and the Vikes won after the cheeseheads missed a 52 yard Fg to win. ahh, do you guys miss Mr. Longwell? Hey Tracey, next fall we are coming your way with Habitat for Humanity to help you poor souls put a top on that bowl. I had a blast, hopefully we see you guys next season.

BFGSC Annual Waxing Party (11-8-2008)

Jack and Shauna hosted the annual BFGSC waxing party at their pad. It was a blast as usual and people got their rides ready for the season. I decided to take the lazy route and bring my boards into the Alt for a wax and simply concentrate on drinking some sparks and beer. The plan was to take off early so we'd be fresh for Sunday, but we were having too much damn fun with the fellow BFGSCers to care.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Houston Texans (11/2/2008)

Thank goodness for the return of CST, as I hit it hard at the Triplerock for King Kahn and the BBQ Show on Saturday night. Going to bed at 02:30 CST instead of 03:30 CDT made it easie to get to Grumps by 10 to meet some friends. I made even though I missed the only bus, but Best Car to the rescue and I was at Grumps with a screwdriver by 10. The Vikes won 28 to 21 and the day was a slight blur. I can't  wait to do it all over again next Sunday when we play the fucking stupid Packers.
